We're excited to bring you the very first edition of our organization's newsletter! 🎉

What’s inside:

  • Spotlight Feature: This month, we highlight the amazing work of Class of 2024, who have earned their Bachelor’s of Science in Interaction Design. 

  • After Party 2024: We hosted a fantastic After Party for our recent graduates! It was a night filled with celebration, connection, and fun.

  • Successful Capstone Feedback Project: Our partnership with professor Luke’s class was a great success. The positive feedback we received from students inspired us to continue this initiative.

  • Volunteer Picnic: We celebrated our amazing After Hours volunteers with our first ever picnic—thank you for your support!

After Hours is happy to have attended this year’s cohort student showcase. The students spent several weeks developing their senior capstone project and their hard work paid off. Check out some of the highlights below.

After Hours Hosts the After Party 🎉

Our organization hosted a memorable after-party for our graduates! It was an evening of celebration, laughter, and connection, honoring their hard work and achievements. Congratulations to all the graduates, and thanks for making it an unforgettable night!

Capstone Feedback was a SUCCESS! 💯

For the first time this year we partnered with student’s from Luke Johnson’s class to give them feedback on their senior thesis. We had 13 students sign up to get one on one feedback from former alumni.

Students were really happy with the alum they matched with and expressed that it was really helpful to talk to someone about their presentation before presenting to industry experts. One student even said:

“The feedback was great. She asked me questions that I didn't think about bringing into my presentation, project management, documentation, etc”

Based on the positive responses we received we will continue working with students on future presentations. If you would like to learn more about how to participate in future feedback sessions, sign up to volunteer and for our mailing list here!

We’re incredibly lucky to have amazing After Hours volunteers and board members. This year we celebrated their hard work by having a picnic at a local park.

To all of our volunteers past and present, THANK YOU for your unwavering support and commitment. Your efforts have made a significant impact on our community and your generosity of time and spirit truly transforms lives.
